Some definitions for any non-pilots viewing this site: (I’ll add to this over time):
AMSL – Above Mean Sea Level
CFI – Chief Flying Instructor
TP – Turning Point (or waypoint)
Hubby – grumpy, but much-loved man, especially on a good day when it’s my turn for the glider 
NOTAMs – NOtices To Air Men: Usually navigational warnings and things to look out for which may represent a hazard, like an airshow or parachute jump.
